According
to a new survey, women say they feel more comfortable
undressing in front of men than they do undressing in
front of other women. They say that women are too judgmental,
where, of course, men are just grateful. -Robert

The
Mysterious Mitusa Technique An
Oral Sex Technique Claiming To Be
Effective For Achieving The Female Orgasm
Lisa
S. Lawless, Ph.D., C.E.O.
Holistic Wisdom Founder
I want to
take you on a journey, one of opening up questions and inviting
your feedback on the case of this mysterious oral sex technique
called the Mitusa Technique.
It claims
to be effective at bringing women to orgasm through oral sex
and was brought to my attention by one of our newsletter readers.
I want your
feedback about this as we will be following up on this issue
in a future newsletter with reader comments and a review of
what people have said about the techniques.
The site
that plugs this technique and claims to be the only site that
provides this information (MatchConsultant.net) actually gives
you little information about it other than it being secret.
UPDATE-
To qualify
to receive the Mitusa technique for free, you must be willing
to answer a few market research questions and then they eMail
the technique to you in links to hidden web pages to access
the information. However, I have been told that if you do
not want to complete the research essay questions that are
required to get the technique, that it is available for $30
as reported by one of their customers that obtained it that
way.
According
to customers, once you receive access, you receive a large amount
of information on oral sex techniques. One customer reported
that it seemed to him not to be one technique as much as it
was a "collection of techniques," with a focus on
controlling certain aspects. There is an order of the techniques
suggested, but it is complex and seems to take some time to
develop according to feedback we have received.
What we
have heard from customers of the Mitusa technique is that it
does not seem to be anything more than general oral sex techniques
that are suggested in a certain order so as not to over or under
stimulate the clitoris. Reviews we have received so far indicate
that the information was adequate for oral sex, but that it
was not unique or easy to understand from the way the information
was provided. One reviewer indicated that it was like trying
to learn oral sex from a set of stereo instructions.
Side
Note- Remember that you want to make sure that the eMail
address you provide can easily be protected by spam filters
as many companies will sell your eMail address or provide a
large amount of spam to solicit you for other products they
are selling.
Mitusa
As A Dating Strategy-
In doing
research on the Mitusa technique we received feedback from newsletter
subscribers about what they knew of the technique. Amazingly,
it turns out there is a group of people who actually market
the technique in order to get dates with others using it as
a sort of bait. There are also postings from women that claim
they will only date men who know it.
Whether
these are postings from those who love the technique or from
those who are affiliated with the company and are trying to
create a need through postings to market it is unknown. A common
place to find postings about it is through LavaLife.com (a singles
dating site) where one woman said in her headline something
such as 'You'd better know Mitusa'.
We even
received an angry eMail from one man who claimed that he had
lost dates from this very article when it was originally run
on 12-19-04 because he was using the Mitusa technique to land
women for sexual interludes and felt that some of the things
that were discussed about it were messing up his strategy to
entice women through knowledge of Mitusa. Apparently, we have
been told that he is now posting negative things about this
article to try and make us look like we are incompetent in reporting
on this topic.
The
Mitusa Is Given To Men Only?
It was true
that the woman who runs this site (Jill McGoldrick) claimed
that women were not allowed to obtain it. So much for sexual
empowerment for women or lesbians for that matter.
Already
it seemed this site was geared toward single men for their products,
and catering to even the most sexually astute man by possibly
suggesting to him that he is currently inadequate when it comes
to providing the "ultimate sexual pleasure."
Jill indicated
on it that she would not share the technique with women because
she said that most men prefer that they get exclusivity. Which
in my opinion meant that most men be given a way to manipulate
by dangling a sexual technique in front of a woman to add to
their agenda to get a woman to sleep with them. Sounded ridiculous
to me.
She also
wrote that by refusing to send to women, they make sure that
men need women. I was sorry to break it to her, but men need
women for more reasons than to practice a sexual technique.
Jill also
claimed that women were more prone to sending it out to all
their friends and this again seemed like yet another backward
way to approach women by implying to them that a "sexual
technique" that would make them feel good (according to
the site) is none of your business. It seemed that this was
another marketing technique geared toward desperate men.
UPDATE-
The owner
of the site, Jill McGoldrick contacted me after seeing my article
and told me that she was now allowing women to have access to
it. I am happy to know that it was an article that we provided
that made a positive impact. It appears after looking at the
site that other things are getting changed on it as well, so
I am happy to report that our comments on issues presented in
this article are making an impact in the way that Jill is marketing
her products.
I suggested
that she try and make some other changes as outlined in this
article and I am hoping she will consider them. From what she
has indicated to me via eMail it sounds like she will be changing
things on her site based on my observations in this article.
I am happy to know that it was this article that created awareness
that women's sexual empowerment is important and should not
be neglected.
Is
The Mitusa Technique Real & Does It Work?
According
to the web site it is a sexual technique, but how original,
secret or effective it is remains to be seen. We will be reviewing
the feedback we receive on the technique in a future newsletter
with more detail. From what I have heard so far however, it
sounds just like one of the many techniques we teach in our
book and video The
Art of Female Ejaculation which was copyright protected
under the Library of Congress in 2002 (apparently well before
the makers of this technique came out with claims of it). The
technique is not presented as a female ejaculation technique,
but it is a way to provide less over and under stimulation on
the clitoris.
However,
it does seem odd that this company has named a technique that
sounds similar to one that I teach in my book and video The Art of Female
Ejaculation and claims it to be secret and found no
where else.
I
would like to point out that you would have a hard time trying
to get a patent on a sexual technique. Why? Because what can
be done sexually has most likely been done before long before
someone tries to claim they invented it. It would be like trying
to claim that you invented rubbing your nose because of a tickle
sensation and then blowing it. That combination of actions is
not considered a secret technique and nor should anything sexual.
I am here to educate people about their sexuality and I certainly
find it ridiculous for anyone to claim that they invented a
technique that no one else knows about or sells information
about.
If
you are going to sell or provide sexual information, you should
focus more on why it is effective, not try and make it seem
valuable because no one else has ever taught it or thought of
it before because you end up looking foolish in my opinion.
How
We Had The Mitusa Technique Brought To Our Attention-
I have been
told that this technique was only developed six months ago so
it appears to be a new "sexual technique," and thus
is why we are asking people for feedback about what they think.
As I said,
it was brought to my attention by one of our readers (Rob) and
I had never heard of it. I asked some of my fellow sexual health
professionals including those highly educated in Tantra and
Kama Sutra as well as other forms of sexual techniques. They
had not heard of it either.
When I asked
if it was all right with Rob if I discussed his question via
our newsletter he agreed but said something I think was an important
point and one that I have wanted to address for a long time.
He said "It would appear you're as clueless as I am. Correct?"
I liked
that he asked this because I think too often people assume that
someone in my profession would know everything there is to know
about sex. That would not be true. This is what I said about
it in an eMail to Rob (about the site promoting the Mitusa technique
and about my knowledge of this and other sexual topics).
Hi
Rob,
I
looked at the site that promotes the Mitusa technique that you
mentioned and it certainly looks like a quick way to generate
"a need" for the product which is a highly effective psychological
marketing approach. I think you may have noticed that even though
we sell female ejaculation products, we certainly provide a
lot of information about it unlike this Mitusa site, because
we believe that those who want to learn more should at least
know the principles of something before they "buy"
into it. I think that when businesses like this keep their cards
so close to them that it can be a sign they have nothing to
offer. However, not knowing too much about the Mitusa technique
I can not be certain as to it's validity at this point as it
will require more research.
What
I have been told is that the technique is very similar to one
of many that we provide in our video and book which as I said
before was copyright protected in 2002. I am not concerned about
that aspect as much as I disliked their marketing techniques
and initial refusal to educate women.
I
have no problem talking about this without knowing much about
the technique other than through eMails I have been receiving
for a few reasons...
I
am always open to exploring new potential in sexual techniques,
as I see that I am but one person and certainly humble enough
to say that I do not know everything there is to know about
sex. Just like any profession, there is always more to learn.
Honestly, I think that when we stop being open to learning more
about our profession that we do a great disservice to ourselves
and to the profession itself because there is always
room to evolve.
I also feel that just as I am a teacher of human sexuality,
we all have something to teach one another and have a voice
in the chorus that makes up the beautiful human symphony of
sexuality. Thus, I am open to learning from other's ideas, thoughts,
feelings and certainly willing to say "I don't know"
when I am unsure of something. If you do find someone that thinks
they know everything... be sure they don't and caution yourself
as their arrogance is more likely to lead to errors in judgment
rather than absolute accuracy.
Considering
what I do know of sex, and what those before us knew... (those
who really openly studied it, such as serious students of the
Kama Sutra, Tantra and other forms of sexual teachings, there
is nothing that can guarantee 100% success and there is little
that one can do to another physically that has not been done
many times before via a finger, penis, mouth or other anatomical
part. Thus, the idea that this is a new physical technique is
probably bogus, and rather a "rediscovery" of one
if valid at all.
Can
The Mitusa Technique Or Any Technique Be 100% Effective?
While the
Mitusa site does claim to "guarantee extremely intense
orgasms." There is no sexual technique that is going to
be 100% effective for ALL women at all times. Yes, we are all
capable of the same things as we have the same equipment, but
how well that equipment is working and the psyche of the person
owning that equipment is just as important. There are many components
to sexuality which require a holistic approach not just a physical
one. A person is not only a physical being but one with mental,
emotional, and spiritual needs as well. Sexuality is interconnected
with all of those components. If you neglect those then you
will never truly be a great lover.
That is
why our book and video
on female ejaculation has done so well, not just because
it addresses techniques, but because we look at addressing psychological
and mental aspects of a woman's sexuality as well. Learning
some "technique" is great, but certainly not the end
all answer.
It is why
Viagra only works on 2/3rds of men who use it... there is no
100% fool proof sexual technique, drug or toy. We are more than
just a body, and if you do not take a holistic approach to sex,
then you are missing out.
Landing
An Attractive Woman
There are
a few problems I have with any site that tells you that you
can land an attractive woman by knowing technique(s). Regardless
of the site you visit, if you find one that says this... that
you can "land" anyone by using "techniques"
I would question their motives. It feels to me that it takes
the heart out of romance and implies a scientific approach to
manipulating people when I hear of things like that.
I don't
care if a woman is considered attractive or unattractive, the
second a man thinks that knowing a technique is the secret to
our hearts or to just having sex has another thing coming. Eddie
Murphy made a joke about this in Delirious commenting
that when you make a woman orgasm well you have her wrapped
around your little finger, and I have to say Eddie, on that
one, while the joke was funny, you are wrong.
Women are
more than their genitals just as men are and to assume that
a sexual technique is going to keep them by your side begging
for more is simply backward thinking.
Marketing
No-String Sex
What I also
could not help but notice on the Mitusa site was that they marketed
"No Strings Sex" which is such an odd concept to me.
There is no such thing in my opinion... not when you have STDs,
pregnancy and safety risks at play and that is just the physical
aspects!
There are
always feelings involved even if it is for a short one night
stand. To not address that would be a non-holistic approach,
which basically means not to see the "whole" picture.
If someone
wants to say that they desire noncommittal sex, then we are
talking about a more realistic thing, however anytime you have
sex you are risking the possibility of an STD and that can be
a huge, life altering and possibly threatening aspect; not to
mention the risk of pregnancy and your physical safety with
someone you don't know very well.
I am all
for people who desire many partners and have a single lifestyle,
and open relationships because I do not judge what works for
others. I do have a problem with people who don't take into
account a need for respect, and responsibility that one should
naturally assume when they are sexually involved with another
human being even if it ends up being for a brief encounter.
What
Makes A Great Lover?
People
are always looking for the newest thing (myself included), and
yet I think we are often disappointed when our expectations,
bloated from marketing hype are often quickly let down from
the truth of what it really takes to be a great lover. It takes
work, education, tenacity, patience, giving, and it takes a
level of openness. These are a few things that make great lovers,
and honestly there is no technique or pill that will magically
take all of the effort out of what it takes to really do it
well long term.
Marketing
like I have been discussing is no different than those who make
diet pills that you can take while eating the same fattening
foods without exercise to lose weight. The quick fix, the one
new technique that will solve all your sexual woes seems to
me to be nothing more than a snake oil salesmen looking for
your money, not your sexual fulfillment.
That
is why we offer so many free articles and this free newsletter
because while we certainly want to make a living we are primarily
concerned with making a difference in peoples lives and when
you "buy in" to a new sexual technique, toy, or anything
for that matter make sure you look for a company that has your
interests at heart as well as theirs.
I invite our newsletter subscribers to let us know if they have
heard of or know of the Mitusa technique and if it worked for
you. Also, feel free to simply write your thoughts about any
aspect of this article and we will bring a more in depth follow
up with your comments and more on this Mitusa oral sex technique.

I wanted
to just provide a warning reminder to those who search adult
material on the web. The Internet can be dangerous at times
especially when you cruise for adult material. There are a lot
of scam artists, and hackers eager to take advantage. One I
myself have found find are web sites that will try and download
a virus or illegal porn to your computer. Make sure that you
stay alert to updates in protective technology and update your
anti-virus software often! One thing you can be sure of is that

If
you want to watch a new type of Risky Business, then this
is a great rental or DVD to buy.
Emile Hirsche seamlessly portrays Matthew, the bored high
school senior with dreams of Georgetown, whose attentions
are turned from his studies to the unbelievably gorgeous
Danielle (Elisha Cuthbert). This is not a stupid, pointless
teen movie and for those of you like me who want a little
meaning with sexuality this is a great flick.
When
Danielle's past catches up with them, in the form of sleazily
attractive ex-lover/director Kelly (scene-stealing Timothy
Olyphant, in the Joe Pantiliano role from Risky Business),
Matthew must go to great lengths to save himself and her
from disaster.
Some
parts of this movie are relatively implausible, but the
characters are realistic and heartfelt. Altogether, a
very feel-good film rife with the sort of sophisticated
plot twists and clever cinematography one doesn't expect
from teen comedies. Highly recommended.

I
have begun using a diaphragm. My problem is that I swell
up every time I use it. I get very tender inside, and
I don't know if it is the diaphragm or the spermicide.
Can you help?
-
Amy
Hi
Amy,
I
personally had a hard time with the diaphragm because
it turned out my doctor had not provided the right size
and I found it terribly uncomfortable, however the diaphragm
is an excellent method of contraception. It is commonly
fitted for you by your gynecologist, with or without an
arcing spring on its rim (which helps it to fit snugly
against the cervix).
Usually, unless you have a fit that's much too tight like
I did, there should be no swelling just from the mechanical
aspects of wearing this little rubber hat inside at the
end of your vaginal canal. But you may want to discuss
the size with you doctor just in case that is the issue.
However,
it is more common to have an allergic reaction to spermicides.
You can try a different brand and experiment with a milder
dosage of the nonoxynol-9 that most spermicides contain.
There is a product called Erogel, which is a spermicidal
lubricant containing nonoxynol-15 and avena sativa that
may also be a good alternative.
Honestly,
I would speak with you doctor about it as they may need
to not only determine if the size is correct, or if there
is a possible medical issue such as an undiagnosed STD
that is causing the swelling. In cases like these it is
best to seek medical assistance just to make sure you
are covering all the bases.
I
wish you well in getting this worked out!
Love
& Light,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Is
it ok to use sex toys (vibrator, dildo) during pregnancy.
My wife seems to think it isn't. I'm not so sure.
Sincerely,
Bill
Hi
Bill,
Sex
is generally considered safe for pregnant women, and there
are studies that prove that. However, because we still
have a long way to go in the study of sexuality there
are no studies that deal with vibrators and dildos specifically.
On the other hand, there are no studies that that suggest
any negative effects of vibrator use during pregnancy
either.
There
are, however, a few guidelines to follow for safe and
healthy sex during pregnancy. Let me put it this way,
if my doctor told me that it's safe to exercise and have
sexual intercourse during pregnancy, then I would assume
that using a vibrator is also safe.
Whether
or not it is safe for a woman to have an orgasm during
pregnancy is perhaps the most important issue to address.
For most normal, healthy pregnant woman orgasm is a good
tension reliever and may be easier to achieve because
of the increased blood flow to the perineum. There is
a slight chance that an orgasm could induce premature
labor for woman with a history of premature labor, a history
of infections during pregnancy, early cervical changes
and/or frequent uterine contractions so to mention this
to her treating doctor is a good idea as every pregnancy
is unique.

Dear
Lisa,
Your
site has been a learning experience for me. I have greatly
enjoyed watching the videos clips of you and your copartner
in business. I never knew that a woman could do such a
thing as this. Keep up the good work!
Nathan
Dear
Lisa,
I
was quiet surprised to see the article about female wet
dreams in your recent newsletter. I have never see anyone
else broach the subject. I have had these since I was
a teenager and thought that I was weird because of it.
It was nice to see I was not alone. Actually I often have
these more than several times a year more like ten to
fifteen times a year. One night I had it happen three
times in less than two hours. Needless to say I was very
tired the next day. I never knew what would set them off.
Thanks for bring to light something that often is pushed
into the dark.
A.R.
G'day
Lisa,
We
got your video the other week ok. Thanks for your video
showing the actual footage of female ejaculation. It confirms
even more of what I've know for years but could never
find any books or other info on this topic, to kind of
confirm it.
Years
ago back in about 1984, my then girlfriend at the time(
we were teenagers, I'm around your age now Lisa) would
easily ejaculate what seemed like a fair amount of liquid.
The very first time it happened, she was actually standing
up and it came gushing down. It was at a school party,
we went off somewhere and had a bit of fun.
Other
times she would be laying on her back on the bed and I
would just put my fingers in and just rub her front wall
(I didn't really know about vibrators back then), not
knowing that anything would happen, she just seemed to
like it. Her stomach after awhile would start to pump
up and down and then the liquid would pour out. She could
just manage this a few times though 'cause she would begin
to feel dizzy after a few times of the liquid coming out.
I
remember I would go around talking with my friends about
it, yet they seemed puzzled as to what I was talking about.
How much liquid did you say again they'd say? It seems
like a 1/2 a cup or even a cup full, I'd say. They would
usually say are you sure she is not weeing (Peeing)? I
always new it wasn't, it was a totally different liquid.
The sheets would always have a huge soaking wet patch
too. It was frustrating looking through sex educational
books and other stuff and never find anything on it.
Although
about 2 or 3 years ago a guy at work lent me a porno(
I think it was called 'king of cocks' or something?) and
the girl in it was doing it but she actually looked liked
she was in pain (more like she was about to die) rather
then pleasure. Only minute thin squirts were coming out
of her though. Anyway there you go, a bit of a gooshy
sloshy story for you.
Thanks
Lisa,
Russ

Hello!
-
My
girlfriend and I love your website - it is very sexy,
classy, and informative. We are fairly new to female
ejaculation. She had never done
it (ejaculated) before she met me, and I have never been
with anyone who did it before I met her - (although I
had heard of it, I wasn't sure if it was real). I was
thrilled from the very first time! I have never experienced
anything so sexy in my life! Now we are fascinated by
it, and have special absorbent pads that we use whenever
we make love, and we celebrate how soaked she gets them.
-
Roger
Hello
Lisa,
Thanks
for all the news letters and updates you have been sending
me. My wife and I had seen a web site about "squirting"
and we thought it was just pee. So after some googling,
we found your site. Very informative!!
Now
the fun part. With two kids and jobs...... we decided
on a long weekend. Packed swim suits, lube, and sex toys!
As soon as we got into the room we had some good old fashion
long drive sex. After we had some time to relax, I asked
if I could just please my wife. I had her lay down on
the bed and spread her legs. (I was going to try and give
her a "squirting" orgasm). I used some of the techs I
saw on your site, and when she came it was just a little
dribble. But OMG was she thrashing around the bed. Not
missing a beat I used her vibrator on her clit and did
the "come here"move on her g-spot. The next thing I experience
almost made me come. My wife arched her back, her lips
swelled up, and GUSHED, AND GUSHED. Spraying all over
my back, face and bed. The more I played with her the
more she came. It was just like your clips!!!! So I wanted
to THANK YOU for all your work, and information. I believe
that you have a great service and site. (plus your very
sexy). Have a wonderful day.
Thanks
again,
Sid

Police
Sent Out Child Porn
Australian police apologized after inadvertently sending
Internet images of child pornography to 1,800 schools
while trying to warn principals about children at risk
of abuse.
The
mistake came during a police crackdown on child pornography
that has so far resulted in more than 200 arrests, including
police, teachers, clergy and the owner of a child-care
center, after more than 400 raids. Police assistant commissioner
Graeme Morgan said human error had resulted in "partial
images" of child pornography being sent to 1,800 government-run
schools across New South Wales, Australia's most populous
state.
The
photographs sent by police and found during the arrest
of a man suspected of possessing child pornography, had
been cropped to show only the girls' faces. However, inadequate
software had been used in the cropping process and the
full images remained embedded in some files, which were
later opened by a handful of recipients. This resulted
in pornographic material being accidentally sent to the

effort to identify the children at risk.
Congress Assisting Providers To Refuse Abortions
Congress
made it a little easier for hospitals, insurers and others
to refuse to provide or cover abortions. A provision in
a $388 billion spending bill passed by the House and Senate
will block any of the measure's money from going to federal,
state or local agencies that act against health care providers
and insurers because they don't provide abortions, make
abortion referrals or cover them. Health care companies
should not be able to prevent doctors from giving medically
necessary information, but this is the world of oppressive,
narrow minded thinking that we now have to live under
due to the current administrations influence.
Porn On Your Cell Phone
The
newest generation of cell phones, which sport high-resolution
color screens and connections to super-fast data networks
that can stream X-rated photos and film clips straight
to the handset are here. Adults-only wireless web sites
have begun sprouting in many regions, including Europe
and Australia, that are generally a year or more ahead
of the United States in adopting advanced wireless technology.
In
Britain, the profusion of adult sites and the interest
in them has forced the six major British wireless carriers
to develop ways to block people younger than 18 from getting
access. As implausible as the idea of trying to look at
pornographic images on a screen of only three square inches
may seem, some industry analysts think a combination of
novelty, and especially privacy -- unlike a computer,
a phone can be used almost anywhere -- make cell phones
an appealing way for some to view pornography.
Almost
all of the content available today via cell phone is found
on foreign web sites US cell phone users with Web access
plans can already download images -- as explicit as anything
that's found on the Internet -- without dialing an overseas
number. They simply use the Web browsers in their cell
phones Usually, the sites offer free access.
Playboy
Enterprises Inc., which recently added Spain and Portugal
to the dozen other countries where it is licensing adult
content for cell phones, says it hopes to reach the US
market within the next several months. US wireless carriers
already offer pictorial and digital content, including
television-style news clips, and roughly one-fifth of
the 171 million US cell phone owners carry handsets that
can receive full-color digital photos and video.
Erotic Web Sites Are Getting Less Traffic & Sales
The
national police campaign against child pornography has
been blamed for a fall in visits to legal Internet
erotica sites. Online erotica suppliers say visits to
sites, and sales, have suffered because consumers are
worried about inadvertently downloading illegal images.
The
confusion has been compounded by a recent court case in
Perth in which a man was jailed despite arguing he was
searching what he believed were mainstream pornography
sites when he inadvertently downloaded images of underage
girls. In other cases, prosecutors have used evidence
from pediatricians to determine age where it has been
in dispute. Lawyer John Hammond said legislation allowed
police to prosecute when someone "appeared" to be under
16. "There is a great deal of difficulty in discerning
if some females are under 16 - in some cases it is very
marginal," he said.
Supreme Court Refuses To Hear Gay Marriage Case
The Supreme Court sidestepped a dispute over gay marriages,
rejecting a challenge to the nation's only law sanctioning
such unions. Justices had been asked by conservative groups
to overturn the year-old decision by the Massachusetts
Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage. They declined,
without comment.
In
the past year, at least 3,000 gay Massachusetts couples
have wed, although voters may have a chance next year
to change the state constitution to permit civil union
benefits to same-sex couples, but not the institution
of marriage. Critics of the November 2003 ruling by the
highest court in Massachusetts argue that it violated
the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of a republican form
of government in each state. They lost at the 1st U.S.
Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston. state constitution
to wed. The nation's high court had stayed out of the
Massachusetts fight on a previous occasion. Last May,
justices refused to intervene and block clerks from issuing
the first marriage licenses.
Bush Seeking Abstinence Education
For
those of you who don't already know, abstinence education
actually has proven to be less effective in preventing
STDs. But still based on his religious believes he is
leading the U.S. into the dark ages by seeking to teach
only abstinence.
President
Bush's reelection insures that more federal money will
flow to abstinence education that precludes discussion
of birth control, even as the administration awaits evidence
that the approach gets kids to refrain from sex. Congress
last weekend included more than $131 million for abstinence
programs in a $388 billion spending bill, an increase
of $30 million but about $100 million less than Bush requested.
The
president has been a strong proponent of school-based
sexual education that focuses on abstinence, but does
not include instruction on safe sex. ``We don't need a
study, if I remember my biology correctly, to show us
that those people who are sexually abstinent have a zero
chance of becoming pregnant or getting someone pregnant
or contracting a sexually transmitted disease,'' said
Wade Horn, the assistant secretary of Health and Human
Services in charge of federal abstinence funding. What
Mr. Horn fails to recognize is that sex is a normal part
of being human, that 80% of those teens that take abstinence
pledges actually go on to have sex despite taking the
pledge and do so without contraception, or protection
against STDs.
Surveys
indicate that roughly 50 percent of teens say they have
sex before they leave high school. While the nation's
teenage pregnancy rate is declining, young people 15 to
24 account for about half the new cases of sexually
transmitted diseases in the United States each year.
Teaching
only about abstinence means students will be less able
to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
``The only 100 percent way to avoid a car collision is
not to drive, but the federal government sure does a lot
of advocacy for safety belts,'' said James Wagoner, president
of Advocates for Youth, a group that promotes education
about birth control and condom use. Because a realist
knows that people are going to drive their cars just like
people, including teens ARE going to have sex.
The
push for abstinence is one of several Bush policies popular
with religious conservatives. Also topping the agenda:
the faith-based initiative, which aims to open more government
programs to religious groups. The Bush administration
is going so far as to tell people that condoms are less
than 60% effective in preventing pregnancy and STDs when
we have know for many years that it is over 90%.
Hopefully
we Americans won't all put our heads in the sand when
people try and manipulate us into believing lies about
science because it conflicts with their religious agenda.
Honestly, this country is taking a huge step into sexual
repression, and before you know it kids will be getting
taught that they will go blind or grow hair on their palms
if they masturbate... and of course that would only apply
to men, because women have no desire to masturbate. Give
me a break!
Just
think about a few statistics shown below for a moment
and ask yourself why we would NOT want to teach our children
about STD prevention, so that should they have sex they
would be prepared to stay safe. Don't we love our children
in the U.S. enough to want to protect them and understand
that they are likely to have some sort of sexual contact
that would put them at risk for STDs before marriage?

FDA Vote Against Female Sex Drug
In
a move that could chill excitement about experimental
drugs to treat female sexual dysfunction, federal advisers
refused to endorse a new testosterone patch for women.
Procter & Gamble sought to market the Intrinsa patch to
women with impaired libido due to surgical removal of
their ovaries.
The
company told a Food and Drug Administration advisory panel
that the drug had not raised significant safety concerns
in clinical trials. However, the advisory committee was
unanimous that more research was needed.
Clinical
trials showed that women who applied the patch to their
abdomen twice weekly had one more ``satisfying sexual
event'' per four weeks than did women given a placebo,
according to the data presented to the advisory panel.
Unlike Viagra, which enhances men's physical ability to
have sex, Intrinsa boosts women's desire for it. Removal
of ovaries can cause women's testosterone levels to drop
by 50 percent. Although men make more testosterone, women
need some to have normal sex lives, experts say. Fifteen
of every 100 women who used Intrinsa experienced a beneficial
effect due to testosterone, Dan Shemas, director of the
FDA's division of reproductive and urologic drugs, told
the panel. By a 14-3 vote, federal advisers said that
benefit, compared with a placebo, was ``clinically meaningful.''
There
are known health risks when it comes to hormone therapy
so it may be worth more study and time to make sure that
a drug like this helps not harms women.
Sexpert Marketing Own Sex Toys
Sue
Johanson, a grandmother who has been known to sew her
own clothes and curtains, is at first glance an unlikely
person for California Exotic Novelties to develop a signature
line of adult novelties around – but that’s only if you’re
unaware of the Canadian sex educator’s successful sex
advice show on the Oxygen Network.
Now
in it’s third season, the Oxygen Network’s Talk
Sex With Sue Johanson seemingly gains in popularity
and media exposure with each episode, making Johanson,
a sex educator for over thirty years, exactly the right
persona for a Cal Exotic signature line. Especially when
you throw in her nursing degree, her radio show, her books,
and her thirty years of experience critiquing adult novelties
and dispensing frank sexual advice to Canadians as the
host of the Sunday Night Sex Show.
“We
are thrilled to have Sue join our family,” offered California
Exotic Novelties’ founder and president, Susan Colvin.
“Our sex toys have always been created by women – for
women. To have someone of Sue’s stature, who possesses
her years of educational, medical and practical knowledge,
design and endorse her own signature line of sex toys
for us is certainly a coupe.” The Talk Sex With
Sue Johanson Sex Toy Line is scheduled to debut
January 2005. We will certainly be carrying them so keep
a look out in out New Items section or announcements in

U.S. Senate Presented With Inaccurate
Porn Claims
The
Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation
quietly held a hearing on “The Science Behind Pornography
Addiction.” While notice of the hearing had been posted
in the Congressional Register, no one in the adult entertainment
industry had been notified of it by committee staff, and
only four witnesses testified, all of whom have solid
credentials as anti-porn activists – as do several of
the committee members.
Arizona
Sen. John McCain, who backed President Bush on the campaign
trail, chairs the committee, but among the more high-profile
members are Republicans Sam Brownback (Kan.) and Trent
Lott (Miss.) who are frequently commended by pro-censorship
groups like the American Family Assn. and Concerned Women
for America, and in the right-wing religious press.
Some
of the false claims that were made by the anti-porn movement
were based on nothing more than imagined negativity. You
may want to note that soft-core porn, including erotica
and sexual education videos like the ones we offer on
this site are lumped into pornography here and it was
made clear by many of their claims that their objective
is to show that adult material causes harm and thus should
not be protected under the first amendment. The adult
industry is being attacked and so are your rights to visit
sites like ours. Here are a couple of quotes from the
meeting-
“For
the viewer, pornography increases the likelihood of sexual
addiction and they respond in ways similar to other addicts.
Sexual addicts develop tolerance and will need more and
harder kinds of pornographic material. They have escalating
compulsive sexual behavior becoming more out of control
and also experience withdrawal symptoms if they stop the
use of the sexual material.”
“Prolonged exposure to pornography stimulates a preference
for depictions of group sex, sadomasochistic practices,
and sexual contact with animals,” and “trivializes nonviolent
forms of the sexual abuse of children.”
The Bush administration and its congressional cohorts
will use the bad and non-science testimony received by
this committee to pass further laws targeting the adult
industry. However, legitimate sex researchers are now
being contacted and encouraged to submit their own testimony
to the committee, which hopefully will give it the consideration
that a true fact-finding body should.
Arrests Made For Those Distributing Porn
Sentences
have been handed down in two separate federal cases. Judge
Paul R. Matia of the U.S. District Court in the Northern
District of Ohio sentenced an Ohio couple, Ronald and
Alina Urbassikn, who had pleaded guilty in July to seven
counts of obscenity related offenses.
Ronald
Urbassik was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison,
along with a $3,000 fine. Alina Urbassik was sentenced
to 4 months in prison. According to the government, the
Urbassikns operated a catalog business offering videotapes
and DVDs depicting sadomasochism, defecation, urination
and bestiality.
In
West Virginia, Harold Foote Hoffman, who also pled guilty,
was sentenced to 18 months in prison for using the U.S.
Mail for the delivery of obscene matter containing depictions
of defecation and bestiality. U.S. District Judge Joseph
R. Goodwin also ordered Hoffman to forfeit any profits
he had earned and any property connected to his production
and mailing of the material.
Banning Books In Public Schools
You
have to go to Alabama to travel this far back in time.
Rep. Gerald Allen, an upstanding citizen and a Republican,
has filed a bill in the state legislature that would prohibit
public and university libraries who accept state funds
from "purchas[ing] textbooks or library materials that
recognize or promote homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle."
The reason, of course, is protect innocent little kids
(and college students) from the pervasive "homosexual
agenda." Giving voice without realizing it to the true
motivation for this proposed Nazi-like book burning, Allen
said, "Our culture . . . is under attack from every angle."
If the law passes, public school textbooks won't be able
to present homosexuality as a genetic trait.
Micro-Penis Surgery Effective
Breakthrough
surgery lengthens micro-penises. There are several reasons
why men end up with micro-penises, which are defined as
penises that are 2 ¾" or less when fully erect. Among
them are birth defects and chemotherapy in infancy. The
sad result of being one of the .5% of men who have a micro-penis
is that you can't have sex and you can't pee standing
up (because in a flaccid state, your penis isn't long
enough to take out of your pants). Now a revolutionary
surgical procedure reconstructs the penis while maintaining
all erogenous sensation. Pioneered by Dr. David Ralph
of London's University College, the new procedure takes
skin from the arm and fuses it with the existing micro-penis
to build a normal-sized penis. Dr. Ralph has successfully
rebuilt the penises of 9 men between ages 19 and 43, and
will report on the procedure at an upcoming (but unidentified)
medical conference in London.
Attacks & Lies About Kinsey
Kinsey
critic Judith Reisman, 69, founder of the current anti-Kinsey
movement, president of the "Institute for Media Education,"
and lead author of Kinsey, Sex and Fraud and Kinsey: Crimes
and Consequences, wants you to know that he was "a scientific
and moral fraud, a certifiable sexual psychopath as well
as a sadomasochistic pornography addict and a sexually
harassing bully." According to Reisman, Kinsey is guilty
of -
~
Not being a scientist at all (despite his degree
in Zoology)
~
Being a child abuser
~
Soliciting pedophiles to molest children and
report back to him
~
Dying not from heart failure but from "brutal,
repetitive self-abuse"
~
Developing a moral framework that allows gay
"recruitment techniques"
Why
Are Conservatives So Upset By Kinsey
Because
of the way he scientifically and neutrally presented his
findings. In other words, he didn't cooperate with the
"conservative agenda" to condemn all sexual practices
not approved of by fundamentalist Christians.
Why
Worry If They Are Lies?
All
this would be mildly amusing in a paranoid sort of way,
except that Reisman has a lot of friends in Washington
and has been a consultant to the Departments of Education
and Health and Human Services. And today she's active
in abstinence-only sex education programs.
Man Cuts Off Teens Penises
A
Thai house painter cut off the penises of two teenagers
with a knife after he found out they had stolen $1,250
of his savings from an ATM machine. Manit Srithammathan,
40, told police the teenagers, now in the hospital, deserved
the punishment as they had betrayed his kindness in letting
them stay at his Bangkok suburban house.
"There's
nothing they deserved more for stealing the money I saved
that could have helped me get a job abroad," a police
spokesman quoted him as saying. The painter, facing charges
of life-threatening assaults and unlawful confinement,
said he could not control his rage as the boys, aged 14
and 15, refused to confess to the theft which he discovered
after checking a video record kept by the bank. Manit
threw the severed penises into a canal before his neighbors
tipped police off about the incident.
Sex In The City Billboard Too Racey?
It
looks like Sarah Jessica Parker is too sexy for some in
Israel. A poster and billboard campaign showing the ``Sex
and the City'' actress in a skimpy, sequined dress was
quickly replaced with new ads of her in a dress that covered
her arms, back and thigh, reportedly after ultra-Orthodox
consumers objected to her outfit. Seems like the Fundamentalist
Christians are getting a run for their money on who is
the most up tight when it comes to embracing the natural
beauty of our bodies.
At Home Fertility Tests For Men
New
fertility-testing kits are opening up options beyond the
fertility clinic for men concerned about their sperm count.
The FertilMARQ Home Diagnostic Screening Test measures
sperm concentration and determines whether an individual
registers above or below 20 million sperm cells per milliliter,
the concentration value recommended by the World Health
Organization.
Customers
are told the volume, sperm concentration per milliliter
and motility. Sperm concentration is an important factor,
but it doesn't always tell a man's whole fertility story.
Manufacturers of these tests point out that a positive
test is no guarantee of fertility. But, they can provide
a relatively simple way to see if there is a problem,
at which point a visit to a fertility specialist is recommended.
No Pole Dancing For Santa's Helpers
The
downtown lingerie and adult-products store Camouflage
in South Carolina still plans to stage erotic dancers
wearing Santa Claus-themed outfits, but you won’t be able
to see them through the front window, as originally advertised.
Store owner Joan Levine changed her plans after being
leaned on by city officials and hearing complaints from
the public. "It’s really the same thing people spend $75
to take their kids to see at Cirque de Soleil," said Levine,
who rates the show something of the PG-13 nature. "It’s
very wholesome. The dancing is very graceful. It’s something
they can see on any basic cable channel."
"We thought it would be neat for it to come to life. We
naturally thought of using a pole because that’s what
we do. But when you put a pole in the picture, it raises
eyebrows and brings out the puritanical in people." Levine
and the dancers say the controversy was overblown. Pole
dancing has caught on as a popular exercise class at many
gyms, they said. "Women want to learn it," Levine said.
Inside the store window, along with a red lace bra and
panties, a red velvet robe and a black corset, is a sign
that reads "Our purpose is to help make peace in the war
between the sexes ... We believe that love, romance and
fun are good for everybody."
Loopy
Lap Pillows
Single
or lonely Japanese men may want a lap pillow this Christmas
as sales climb. The "lap pillow," with skin-colored polyurethane
calves folded under soft thighs. The $90 pillow, which
comes with one red and one black skirt, went on sale in
late November and maker Trane Co Ltd says shipments have
reached 3,000 in just a few weeks.
"We
created this item to help tired people relax," said Makoto
Igarashi, Trane's managing director. Care was taken with
details such as the softness of the thighs, panty lines
on the pillow's "backside" and wrinkles in the lap of
the skirt so as to make the pillow look and feel as real
as possible. "We thought our main customers would be men
in their 20s, but even men in their 60s are buying it,"
Igarashi said. At stores, lap pillows gather crowds where
people poke and pry at the foam legs. "I think this may
be good for single men, but it could cause trouble for
someone who is married," said Shingo Shibata, a 27-year-old
company employee browsing at a toy store which sells the
pillow.

The Mark for Life kit was developed to make home breast
cancer examinations easier. Each kit features a form-fitting
T-shirt with printed diagrams that guide the wearer's
hand motions. It comes with instructions, reminder stickers
and a pen to mark the location of any lumps right on the
shirt, enabling women to make month-to-month comparisons.
Lumps,
bumps and knots are normal, but a doctor should be alerted
about any changes. Kits also include facts about breast
cancer and early detection. Women can order kits and sign
up for free monthly e-mail reminders at

Astroglide Helps Block HIV
Reuters
reports that Astroglide
Personal Lubricant has been found to block the
replication of the human Immunodeficiency virus in lab
tests. The lubricants killed HIV-infected white blood
cells and HIV in seminal fluid, according to researchers
from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Dr. Samuel Baron and colleagues conducted the study to
examine over-the-counter vaginal preparations for their
ability to inhibit HIV production.

The
makers and stars behind the runaway hit of 2000, Meet
the Parents, are re-united-and joined by some
formidable future in-laws in the the follow-up comedy,
Meet the Fockers.
Now that Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is "in" with his soon-to-be
in-laws, Jack (Robert De Niro) and Dina (Blythe Danner)
Byrnes, it looks like smooth sailing for him and his fiancée,
Pam (Teri Polo).
But
that's before Pam's parents meet Greg's parents, Bernie
and Roz Focker (Hoffman and Streisand). The hyper-relaxed
Fockers and the tightly-wound Byrneses are woefully mismatched
from the start, and no matter how hard Greg and Pam try,
there is just no bringing their families together-which
all adds up to a disastrously funny time of "getting to
know you."
We
learn that Bernie Focker (Hoffman) is a retired legal-aid
lawyer and Roz Focker (Streisand) is a sex therapist for
seniors.
In
keeping with Roz Focker's profession as a sex therapist
for Seniors, these blue shapes are

the right of the screen.
These
beautiful pieces of art and functional toys are great
